firehouse benefit

Ohio State beating Xichigan is always a good day and the SKNLUV benefit for Firefighters and Cancer was supported by many in the Sunbury community. The Firehouse Tavern in Sunbury, Ohio has a following of loyal patrons and they love to give back. Smiles were everywhere when the Buckeyes won and that momentum flowed into the evening with the SKNLUV benefit. Arm lengths of 50/50 and raffle tickets were everywhere. I consider myself a very generous person, but it continues to amaze me when people are generous to our organization without even know us, that makes us work to give them value. Someone in the crowd had a stick of scarlet and grey face paint - EVERYONE got striped whether you wanted it or not, I found that quite funny. The staff at Firehouse Tavern worked the crowd for 6 hours to raise proceeds, all with the mission to reach more firefighters with the SKNLUV message. Helping firstresponders is something we should all try and do; they put their lives on the line for all of us. At the end of the night, nearly $2,000 was raised, that gives us the fuel to reach more firstresponders with our training. God bless.
